Landlord Self Help: A non-profit community legal clinic which supports Ontario’s small-scale landlord community exclusively.

Durham Landlords Association: LAD is a registered not-for-profit association open for free to anyone with an interest in commercial and residential real estate in the Region of Durham, Ontario

Landlord Connect: Is a centre of information, providing support to partnerships between landlords and housing help services. The aim of is to have more units of housing in the private rental market found and kept by the clients served in the housing help sector.


Durham Mental Health:

Durham Mental Health Services (DMHS) is a charitable not-for-profit agency providing services and supports to individuals and families who are living with mental health concerns.

Canadian Mental Health Association: The Canadian Mental Health Association Durham is a community mental health and primary care centre that has been providing mental health services to Durham Region for 55 years.



Durham Legal Clinic: We provide referrals, legal information, legal advice, and representation before Administrative Courts and Tribunals, Tenant Duty Counsel at the Landlord Tenant Board, community development and law reform. We also provide free presentations to community groups on the areas of law practiced by the Clinic.

Municipal Affairs and Investigations: The Investigation and Enforcement Unit responds to complaints from landlords or tenants about alleged offences under the new Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (the Act), which took effect January 31, 2007. The Act regulates the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants in residential properties in Ontario.

Landlord Tenant Board: The Landlord and Tenant Board’s role is to provide information about the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) and to resolve disputes between most residential landlords and tenants.

Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation:  CERA is the only organization in Canada dedicated primarily to promoting human rights in housing and ending housing discrimination.

Human Rights Legal Support Centre: The Human Rights Legal Support Centre is an independent agency, funded by the Government of Ontario, to provide legal services to individuals who have experienced discrimination. The Centre will provide legal assistance to individuals in taking an application to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario to resolve a human rights dispute.

Housing and Homelessness in Durham Region: The Region of Durham, Housing Services Division is part of the Social Services Department. The office is located at 605 Rossland Rd. E. in Whitby (Regional Headquarters). We have four areas of responsibility: Social Housing Administration, Housing Operations, Homelessness Initiatives and Housing Development.
