Give Essential Items to Support Community Needs
CDCD may accept new or gently used furniture, household goods and other essential items for distribution or matching with individuals and families, depending on current needs, capacity and seasonal initiatives.

Before You Bring Items to CDCD
Donated items should be clean, safe and in good usable condition. Donation needs and storage capacity can change throughout the year.
Please confirm that CDCD is currently accepting your items before bringing them to a location.
Availability changes: CDCD’s ability to accept and distribute particular goods depends on community needs, available donations, program capacity and seasonal initiatives.
Give Furniture a New Home — and Help Someone Make a Home
Furniture Connect brings together community members who have eligible new or gently used furniture and registered clients who may need essential furniture while establishing or rebuilding their homes.
Please note: CDCD does not provide furniture pickup, moving or delivery services. Do not bring furniture to a CDCD location unless specifically instructed to do so by the Donations team.

Seasonal Donations
CDCD may coordinate seasonal donation initiatives based on community needs and available resources.
- Winter clothing
- December toy distribution for children and youth up to age 16
- Back-to-school supplies in August
- Furniture support through Furniture Connect
Need Furniture or Essential Items?
CDCD’s Donations Program helps eligible individuals and families access donated essential items when available.
Support may include furniture, household goods, clothing, school supplies and other essential items, depending on current donations, program capacity and seasonal initiatives.

Requesting support or completing an intake does not guarantee that a particular item will be available.
Tax Receipts and Donor Information
CDCD is a registered Canadian charity. Eligible charitable gifts may qualify for an official donation receipt in accordance with applicable requirements.
