Donations Submission Form

If you are interested in donating, the Community Development Council Durham (CDCD) Donation Program is committed to supporting eligible residents of the Durham Region, including newcomers, by providing essential donated items such as food, clothing, furniture, household goods, toys, and back-to-school supplies. All donated items, including clothing and household items, must be in good, usable condition. Clothing donations must be placed in clear plastic bags and clearly labelled.

We also operate a Virtual Furniture Bank Connect, which matches donors directly with CDCD clients based on their specific needs. Once a match is confirmed, donors and clients coordinate a pickup time with support and collaboration from the CDCD donations team.

All recipients are registered clients within the CDCD Donation Program. Please note that we accept items seasonally (e.g., winter items in winter and summer items in summer) to ensure donations align with current community needs.

Donations Intake Form

The Community Development Council Durham (CDCD) is committed to supporting all eligible residents of the Durham Region, including newcomers, by providing seasonal essential donation items to meet community needs. Our Donations Program offers support in the following areas: food, clothing, furniture (through our Virtual Furniture Bank), household items, toys, and back-to-school supplies.

All donations and distributions are season-based. Clothing is primarily distributed during the winter season. Furniture support is available year-round, depending on item availability, through our Virtual Furniture Bank, where clients are matched with donors. Clients are responsible for picking up items directly from donors, with coordination support from CDCD. To receive bi-weekly updates on available furniture and other donations, clients are encouraged to complete our intake form.

Toy donations are distributed during the winter holiday season in December for children and youth up to 16 years of age. Back-to-school supplies are distributed in August as part of our annual Back-to-School Drive.
